more…than怎么用？more…than用法詳解

①more than +名詞，表示超出該名詞所指，意思是“不止”“不僅僅是”.
例如：We need more than material wealth to build our country.建設(shè)我們國家，不僅僅需要物質(zhì)財(cái)富.
②more than +形容詞或動(dòng)詞，表示加重語氣，意思是“非?！薄昂堋?
例如：I am more happy to help you 能幫助你，我特別高興.
③more than +數(shù)詞，表示超出該數(shù)，意思是“多于”“大于”.
例如：More than one person has made this suggestion. 不止一人提過這個(gè)建議.
④more than + (that)從句，其基本意義是“超過（=over）”，但可譯成“簡(jiǎn)直不”“遠(yuǎn)非”.
例如：That is more than I can understand . 那非我所能懂的.
⑤如果在more than之間插入形容詞或副詞，這時(shí)它就有兩種含義：一為普通的比較級(jí)的用法；二是用來表示“與其說… 倒不如說……”的意思，試比較：
例如：The concert was more enjoyable than the lecture.  音樂會(huì)比講座更令人愉快.
[注意]這種用法也適用于less...than結(jié)構(gòu).
例如：He was less hurt than frightened. 與其說他受了傷，不如說他嚇壞了.

⑵no better than=only 僅僅, not better than=at most 不超過.

His whole school education added up to no more than one year. 他所受的全部學(xué)校教育加起來只有一年.
例如：I could no more do that than you. 你不能做這事，我也不能做.
②Not more than 至多，不超過，不必……更.
例如：There are not more than six people over there .至多有六個(gè)人在那里.
